KIM’S KRAFTS BEHIND THE SCENES PICS

Hope everyone enjoyed the first episode of the second batch of episodes, which we shot this summer.  Please enjoy the pics.

Thanks to the good people at Spacecraft in Williamsburg for allowing us to shoot in their cool store.  I mean cool in the figurative sense since it was hot as hell in there.  And I guess I don’t really need to thank them since we gave them money.  But they were still nice.

Smokey Nelson sets the good times tone for 2 days of shooting at Kim’s Krafts.

Still life with tortilla hat and apple.

Head to toe gross.

Eli Newell has some fun with the pet tickler.

Yes, it was a hot set, literally and figuratively.  Hot Set in show bizzz terms means ’ we are shooting on this set, do not touch anything’.  Hot Set in normal terms means ‘it’s hot as fuck, do not touch me.”

Mather Zickel cools his hot neck between hot takes.

Director Scott Vincent prepares to yell “Pretend!” (that’s what he yells instead of ‘action’)

Zoe and Isabelle pretend to be important.

Me and the pretend star of Attitude Stool at the pretend premier which was pretend sponsored by pretend vodka Boise Vodka.

This is a very real and very bizarre portrait of Tim Allen at the comedy club we shot at.

The Unknown Heckler/Known Asshole.

The Unknown Vodka Dummy?

Wake up, Mather!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (Seriously, he did this all the time and everybody fucking hated it.  What a total asshole to try to catch up on sleep so he can be well rested and performer better, am I right???)

We shot all the prison scenes at a fencing club.  We just fooled America into thinking it was a prison.  Here, the wardrobe department has some fun with the fact that we are shooting at a fencing club.

The fantastic Vladmir Bibic, who plays the patriarch of the Mirminsky family.

On this side of the curtain, fencing club.  On the other side……

…fake prison!  DP Jonathan Furmanski and 2nd Camera Paul Helzer go over some shots, and talk about cameras and getting laid and brews and whatever else two camerabro’s talk about when they’re hanging out.  What dicks.

Scott gives Vladmir Bibic, Steve Cirbus and Eugene Mirman direction on how to eat a birthday pizza.

Wh-wh-wh-what a crunchry!

Here’s some more shots of the fencing club from the first 6 episodes we shot last year in the fall.  Note the warmer dress, as it wasn’t hot as fuck in the fencing club and everywhere else like it was this past summer.
