DELOCATED'S TOP MOMENTS OF 2009
It’s the end of the year, and the end of the decade.  From top sports plays to top albums to top movies to top farts, everyone has been putting out their lists.  Delocated blog weighs in on the last day before the end of the “dec”.  Here’s a couple thoroughly dumb, pretend lists, followed by some real, sincere favorite moments from the first season of Delocated. TOP TEN...

HAPPY POST HOLIDAY GREETING/CABLE COMPANY CHAT #2
I hope all of you Jewishes and Christianites enjoyed your respective holidays.  I know that we here at the Delocated edit enjoyed our sort of racist-y looking chocolate Santa’s. If you’re going to be a racist Santa, then you might as well also be delicious. In any case, let’s move on to more enjoyable, less racist endeavors.  Like instant message chatting with the cable...

CABLE COMPANY DELOCATED CHAT #1
There is a function on my cable company’s website where you can instant message chat with a customer service representative, and they will email you a transcript of the chat session.  Lately, I’ve been enjoying passing some time in the edit by going on line and asking the cable company about Delocated.  Here’s the transcription of the first one I did.  I signed in as a...

DELOCATED COLD WEATHER TIP - KEEP YOUR SHINS WARM
It’s been very cold in New York recently, and everyone on the subway has been complaining about how cold their shins are.  My shins have been just fine, as seen here on display next to Jeff Buchanan. What could be more distracting as you’re trying to edit than a cozy pair of warm shins snuggling up against your editing arm?

DELOCATED BLOG FINALLY WEIGHS IN ON TIGER WOODS...
My wife Leslie overheard this on the subway the other day, and it seemed worth sharing.  Some guy was having a way too loud conversation about Tiger Woods, and at one point said the following: “Tiger IS golf.  No whore can change that.” Buddy, that’s called a Conversation Hole-In-One!  To commemorate this moment, please enjoy some pics from when Jeff Buchanan and I went out and...

THE LOCATION FINDERS
We had two very hard working Location Scouts, Elizabeth Krekel and Ricky Camilleri.  Here they are back at our Chinatown office, taking a well earned breather from scouting for locations out and about (or as they say in the business, “scout and about”) in New York City. Looking for locations is a very time consuming project, so one afternoon, me, writer/director/executive producer...

I CRIED AT THE END OF "DEATH RACE"
The post heading says it all.  I cried at the end of the movie Death Race.  The one that starred Jason Statham and Joan Allen.  I cried when Jason Statham shows his baby daughter to the black dude and the hot girl.  This happened while I was sick after we wrapped shooting on Delocated.  I’m on the couch one afternoon, feeling like shit, flipping channels, landed on Death Race half way...

THE SECOND CITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY
I was in Chicago last weekend for the Second City theater’s 50th anniversary.  They held a big event the entire weekend, lots of alumni came in, there was an SCTV reunion show, several shows featuring alumni performing classic scenes, parties, it was a really great time.  I’m honored to have gotten to perform there and be a part of the theater’s history. Kevin Dorff, who plays...

BIG THANKS TO THE SET PA'S OF DELOCATED,...
I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the hard work of our set PA’s.  PA stands for Production Assistant.  It’s a thankless job.  They work the longest and make the least amount of money.  We had a hard working, cool, enthusiastic group this season.  Let’s meet them! Here’s Office PA Evan Geary holding down the fort at our production office in Chinatown. ...

DE-CROW-CATED
I love puns.  But then again, I guess that goes without saying, because who doesn’t love a good/bad/annoying/enjoyable/exhausting pun?  This post’s heading, “De-crow-cated”, is inspired by the enjoyable photo that Delocated writer/director/executive producer John Lee sent me of what appears to be a scarecrow that, intentionally or not, is a fan of Delocated. First of...

HEY 'BEING SICK': FUCK YOU
Season 2 of Delocated had a very tight shooting schedule.  Shooting schedules are very difficult to put together, and I was paranoid that I, or someone or someones on crew or in cast, would get swine flu or something and it would screw things up.  Thankfully, the shoot went very well, no one got super sick, and except for the one day that I woke up at 4:30 in the morning feeling like shit and felt...
