SPIN MAGAZINE, BEST OF 2011
I was very happy to be asked to write something for Spin’s year-end issue.  It’s on newsstands now, here’s what to look for:   The piece is in the same vein as my book, My Dead Dad Was In ZZ Top.  Speaking of which, the book would be a great last minute stocking stuffer!  Or a great way to ring in the new year!  Or if you’re new to the blog and reading this at some point...

'CADOED
During the filming of Season 3, Delocated’s Prop Master Tory Harris came up with the next Tebowing/planking/stupid/fun new trend to take the country by storm:  ’Cadoing, aka, ‘Cadoed.  As in, avocado.  The premise is simple.  Got a good bud that’s wearing a hoody?  Try to put an avocado in the hood without them noticing, and get photographic evidence.  If you’re...

There is going to be a Delocated panel at this year’s New York Comic Con.  Saturday October 15th, at 6:30.  Here’s a link:   http://bit.ly/qPEYed.  New cast members will be there, and we’ll be showing a sneak peek clip.  Last year, our audience got in a fight with the audience from Falling Skies.  We won, it wasn’t even close.  I still have a piece of Noah Wyle’s hair...

FORGET IT, JAKE. IT'S CHINATOWN.
The title of this post is a line from the movie Chinatown.   John Lee, EP/writer/director on Delocated, hilariously said that he never understood what that line meant until we started working in Chinatown, then it all made perfect sense.  The Delocated production office is lovingly and disgustingly nestled somewhere in the heart of disgusting Chinatown.  Not the Chinatown from the movie Chinatown....

JOYCE SLOANE, REST IN PEACE
The world of comedy and the world in general lost a truly wonderful, one-of-a- kind woman.  Joyce Sloane, the “mother of Second City”, as the Chicago Tribune so fittingly referred to her, died Thursday, February 4th.  She meant so much to so many people.  I would certainly not be where I am today were it not for her, and I will be forever grateful for her kindness and encouragement.
